Oasis of the Seas… It’s Almost Here

By Michelle

So Royal Caribbean just released a video that of course has us all anticipating the Oasis of the Seas‘ arrival even more than when it was first announced.  “It’s Almost Here!!!”  pretty much sums it up.  This ship is insane, if you don’t know  –  there are literally “neighborhoods” on her.  She’s innovative in so many ways.

Royal Caribbean has a history with groundbreaking innovations, with it’s rock climbing walls, atriums, royal promenades, and ice skating rinks being the first few to come to mind.  Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas have no problem keeping up with Royal Caribbean’s track record of cruise industry firsts.

Honestly, you don’t understand the confusion we went through when Oasis of the Seas and all of her stateroom categories were first announced.  Royal Caribbean had us question the Promenade Staterooms when they first came into the industry  –  ”Is it an inside or an outside cabin? Couldn’t be oceanview, but there’s a window…”  -  It’s officially considered an inside stateroom by the way, but only because the Royal Promenade is inside.  But with Oasis of the Seas, there is a neighborhood’s worth of space for these public areas… not only is there a Royal Promenade, but there’s a Central Park, and a Boardwalk!  All of them lined with staterooms of all sizes and shapes – seriously, you need to go look at how many kinds of staterooms there are with every kind of view you can think of.  Rest assured though, we figured it all out. :)

The ship is amazing, astounding, and sometimes even mind-blowing when you think about it.  I’d have to sail on back-to-back sailings just so I could see it all.  After a watch of this video, I’m hoping you’d want to do the same.
