WMPH & Oasis of the Seas in the News
ByThe South Florida Sun-Sentinel has a news piece out for Oasis of the Seas and it’s effect on the cruise industry, cruisers, and economy. (http://www.sun-sentinel.com/business/sfl-oasis-sales-093009,0,2245486.story) Oasis of the Seas is selling at premium cruise prices in the midst of world-wide recessions. Why? Aside from the obvious – if you’re going to vacation, cruising is the way to go
– there is a lot of value in Oasis of the Seas.
This is a ship with tons of innovations and firsts at sea – including their neighborhood concept (7 neighborhoods I might mention), double rock climbing walls and Flow Riders, an amazing Aquatheater, zipline, loft suites, etc. You can spend 14 days on this ship, not get off at any of the ports of call, and still have something new to do everyday. The world is excited for her arrival and thousands of cruisers are planning to add having sailed on the world’s largest cruise ship to their list of life experiences.
South Florida Sun-Sentinel travel writer Jaclyn Giovis asked Uf Tukel, co-president of iCruise’s parent company WMPH Vacations, about the Oasis of the Seas hype. Travel agents and cruisers everywhere agree that there is a huge interest in Oasis of the Seas, and that the excitement builds more and more each day. We read the blogs, tweets, and facebook updates; we all love hearing about Oasis of the Seas. She’s just so unbelievable, any pictures we find or detailed accounts of lounges or entertainment hot spots we just can’t get enough of!
