Life boat drills are important safety event. But the job of getting everyone to stop what they are doing – eating , drinking and generally exploring the ship to trudge down to their stateroom to grab their life jackets and go to an assigned lifeboat station has been made a little easier by Royal Caribbean aboard the new OASIS. Life jackets are now stored on deck near life boat embarkation stations and check in for life boat drills is now accomplished via swiping of the guests Sea Pass card when they report to the appropriate station. No more long straps to trip upon and thanks to technology the entire process is a little smoother and shorter.
